Radio-Choreography
Episode 4. For the Time Being,
Vienna, Saturday, April 2nd 2022, 6-7 pm
Radio-Choreography is a radiophonic archive of dance practices created by female choreographers during times of migration and border crossing. The project includes a series of four episodes broadcasted live from dance archives and libraries in Berlin, Cologne, Tel Aviv and Vienna. The fourth episode, «For the Time Being» focuses on dance works related to the city of Vienna, including sounds from Tehran, voices from Athens and documents from the German Dance Archives Cologne.
On April 2nd 2022, 6-7 pm, Radio-Choreography will be performed at the Tanzquartier Wien library and broadcasted live on radio ORANGE 94.0. At the same time, a Public Listening Event will be held at the TONSPUR_passage.
The presentation of Radio-Choreography in Vienna is a cooperation between Tanzquartier Wien, Radio Orange 94.0 and TONSPUR Kunstverein Wien.
Netta Weiser works at the intersection of expanded choreography and experimental radio. Her works have been presented internationally in art galleries and performing arts venues such as Sophiensaele Berlin, Akademie der Künste Berlin, Museum Kleines Klingental Basel and Suzan Delal Dance Centre Tel-Aviv. In 2020 Weiser received the NRW KULTURsekretariat Tanzrecherche award for her project Radio-Choreography, and in 2021 was an artist in residence at the Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste Berlin. Moreover, since 2019 she is the co-director of the 777 Projekt – collaboration between maC master in choreography of the HZT and Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, as well as a docent at the Universität der Künste Berlin.
